Information from Edgar J Winter re the blue moon. Interesting.
Full Moon (Blue Moon) Sat 30 June 2007 at 11:47pm Moon at 8 degrees Capricorn Sun in Cancer.
This is the 2nd full moon within the month, which is referred to as a Blue Moon. With the moon in Capricorn we are centred on what we feel the work wants of us and with the Sun in Cancer, we are getting in contact with what we want for ourselves. Can you feel the polarity this brings?
This is a great time to connect with what we want for ourselves and how this serves our path, and our outer functioning within the world. This is the time to release anything that is not congruent to your higher-self and hence the highest vibration of the mass consciousness.

Why..............
~ don't i have the button to create a bulleted list in this create post page anymore? Oh well, will just have to make do with the squigly line.
~ does my back ALWAYS get itchy right between my shoulder blades, just where I can't reach, and what happpened to my back scratcher. Oh well, a hairbrush does an extremely good job? (and please no cracks about hairy backs Anchell)
~ did I have three children?
~ does Lisa use so many undecipherable acronyms on her blog. Is she keeping a secret from me.......? (sorry, thats just my insecure side rearing its ugly head)
~ why are there summer clothes in the shops when it has only just started to get cold?
~ are seven year old boys ALWAYS hungry?
~ does the time between blogs seem to go so fast, then people start growling at me?
~ aren't I allowed to say 'poooooooooooooo'?
~ can't I seem to get a regular day or two each week work, instead i get these big blocks. Next term i will work for 8 weeks (at least) every day. This is totally amazing money wise, but will severely interrupt my social life. Plus i will not be able to go to Arty Farty group, wwwwwwhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa 8-[.
~ is it that every time I go to a cafe and ask for a quarter strength latte, they make it so strong that it may just keep me awake for a week!! ??
~ do school terms go so bloody fast? ('cept when i am working then they drag on really slowly)
~ did school have to organise this CAPA Caberet for tonight, i really wanted to do the Soul Collage thing. Grrr - and they are performing again on Saturday night at Hunter Valley Gardens so i wont be able to come to the Blue Moon evening either...... (pooooo)
~ is it suddenly so bloody cold? I think its actually snowing here at Maryland....
~ can't I think of any interesting 'why's'? I am now rambling with bullsh*t so i will go.
Have a nice day!!!!!! (or whats left of it anyway)

Loser...
YAY!!!
Finally i am a big loser, and a whole 1.3kg. Just pipped Lisa at the post. She tried to take a photo of me but i am faster then i look. Especially when there is a camera around. You can check her blog for the result.
Now i am trying not to self sabotage as i usually do. Not this time. This time i will build on that loss and will be so thin that you may not see me if i am turned sideways.... yeah....
The great sink challenge....
Well here goes..... the before and after shots. I must point out that i have an extremely shitty white (I use the term 'white' loosely) enamel sink, and it is stained so bad that nothing will get it white again. Take this as a warning, if you ever put in a new sink - DO NOT CHOOSE A WHITE ONE!!!
OK, here is the before shot...
note the 'Bitches Brew' coffee mug that my husband thoughtfully gave me..... hmmm
And after........... Ta Daaaaa

Boo...... Did i scare you???
I am here already..... nice to know someone misses me.
enough prevaricating for one week.
The 'new post' page has been opened by me several times over the last few days and no words have spilled forth into the big white empty box on the screen. Sometimes i have had just too much to say and didn't know where to start so i got up and wandered off, only to have my place usurped by some kid whose computer was last seen floating down the cycleway. Other times i would sit down with a mind as blank as the blank box on the screen. Then I wander off, same kid, same result.
Hmmmmm, so here i am at last.
Rambling incoherently about nothing.
Insurance update - we had the electrical testing guy come around yesterday. Waiting from word from insurer as to what happens next.... an assessor of our furniture and other non-electrical damaged goods is still to grace us with his (or her) presence. Some areas of this house are getting decidedly pongie. Hmmmm . The carpet guys are coming to measure up on Tuesday. Had a thought to write some profound words of wisdom onto the paint splattered concrete before the carpet is laid. Maybe even some jokes - left for posterity. lol
Have had a pretty lazy weekend all in all. No soccer yesterday. Little shopping, not much, enough to get by. Bit of tidying around the joint. Not enough to strain a muscle though. I have however spent a fair bit of time in my comfy recliner chair reading my latest book by Sharon Shinn. I just finished it actually and am looking forward to tomorrow to go to the library and get the next two books. Hmmm, these are the last two in the series. Then i dont know what i will read. Aaaggghhh - i hate being between books.
Tomorrow is Arty Farty class. YAY. High point of the week. Cant wait!!
I also must make mention of the awesome night last Friday night. I am now a witch in training. I was blown away by the ceremony, which was very special. Thanks again to Lisa and Renata for the effort that was obviously put into preparations for the evening. The rain on the roof was freaking me out just a little bit. I know how quickly Minmi Road floods and i was a tad stressed that i would not be able to get home.... but all was well. only a couple of inches across the road, phew.
I am rambling on a fair bit so i think it is time to put you out of your misery, that is if you are still slogging on this far through the pist, and say - fare thee well!!!
may angels light your path

Some shots of our lake...
I got this in an email today.... how apt!
Everything I need to know about life, I learned from Noah's Ark. .
One : Don't miss the boat.
Two : Remember that we are all in the same boat.
Three : Plan ahead. It wasn't raining when Noah built the Ark.
Four : Stay fit. When you're 600 years old, someone may ask you to do something really big.
Five : Don't listen to critics; just get on with the job that needs to be done.
Six : Build your future on high ground.
Seven : For safety sake, travel in pairs.
Eight : Speed isn't always an advantage. The snails were on board with the cheetahs.
Nine : When you're stressed, float a while.
Ten : Remember, the Ark was built by amateurs; the Titanic by professionals.
Eleven: No matter the storm, when you are with God, there's always a rainbow waiting.
Whhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!

Downward slide
Phew... what a rollercoaster of a couple of days it has been.
We are all safe and well, which is the main thing.
So many reports of destroyed houses, businesses, cars, and lives taken. Ours is a small inconvenience in comparison.
We have numerous electrical and furniture items that have been damaged by stormwater. The carpet in all four bedrooms has been ripped up by the carpet man, due to be replaced (yay) sometime soon. Oh our bedroom carpets were hideous, a deep cherry red, gross. It is a big expense to replace. One that we were kinda saving up for.
I don't know if we will get our kitchen replaced or not, water was pouring out from under all the cupboards. The builder will be here Wednesday, he will tell us.
The rain came down so fast and hard, and as we are on the lower side of a slope, backed up against our house, coming in between the hebel walls and slab, filling the rooms all along the western wall. My bedroom was the worst, as it is a little lower then the other rooms. Because we were renovating the family room, lots of things were being stored in there. Consequently, these things have been damaged.
Yesterday our power and phone went out. So it was a very silent night we had last night. Thank god we are 'into' candles and had heaps to light. The only sound to be heard around here last night was the sound of children bickering.
We got up this morning and tried to make some sense of this bomb site. As i was sitting sorting through the twenty or so loads of washing (towels, clothing, sheets, blankets, etc...) of things that got wet on Friday, with no power to wash them, and the decision made to send it all to a laundry to be done, the bloody power came back on. I had a load in the machine within three minutes. I didn't know how successful it would be though as our laundry was one of the hardest hit rooms too. But my darling machine worked and proceeded to chug away for the rest of today, along with its bed partner, the dryer, earned its weight in gold. We still took about 15 garbage bags of stuff to the commercial laundry, i don't have the drying space for so much stuff. Hopefully it will be done either tomorrow or the day after.
It is awe inspiring - the might of mother earth. No matter how clever we think we humans are, she can still decimate us with ease. I honour you mother and respect your might.
Well things are tidying up here (its amazing how much mess a bit of water through the house can create). With our power and phone back on, and all our family safe, we consider ourselves to be the luckiest people alive.
Tomorrow i will go for a drive, i want to see for myself the township of Wallsend. Apparently it will take a long time to rebuild.
this evening my thoughts go out to -

this evening my thoughts go out to -
- Helen, on the passing of her father. My father passed many years ago now, and i know the huge hole it leaves in your heart. Peace be unto you.
- The families of those who perished in the wild storms and resulting floods of recent days.
- The people of the Maitland who are awaiting a flood rivalling the 1955 version. My dad survived this flood, and i remember his stories. Nightmare for all concerned.
- Those without power. Especially those with kids. Kids these days seem fairly incapable of amusing themselves (or is it just mine?) like we could when we were kids. They have been spoiled by instant gratification and amusements at hand. I could have easily coped with 24 hours of silence if it wasn't for the sound of bickering children, whose seemingly only form of entertainment was irritating the crap out of each other.
- The property owners and business people who are facing financial hardship by the ruination of their livelihood and properties. My neighbours friends had waist deep water through their house at Cardiff. Shit.
We are ok.
Lots of things are very damp but we are sorting that out.
I am grateful for too many things to list now.
Thank you to everyone for your kind wishes and offers. It means a lot to know people care about you.
Luv the slightly damp

I love rain....
Well... I love rain when three bloody inches of it isnt running through my house!!!!!
Yep, BUILD AN ARK (anyone know how long a cubit is??). and maryland was isolated, i was stranded. i went down to the high school to pick my girls up and there was a metre of water over the road. two kids had been washed into the creek (should i say, raging torrent), and were clinging to life on some spindly shrubs. screaming for thier lives. shit that is a sound i will live with for the rest of my days. my children were on the other side. i couldnt get to them.
the flooded house. the screaming children. the flood. my kids - i couldnt get to them. .... I lost it. I rang the girls and told them to get back to school and just sit there til we could get them picked up. came home and rang my friend who picked them up for me. phew. she is an angel. then she bought them home for me in their 4wd. the water was up to the door handles. my poor car would have drowned for sure.
so now i have put in an insurance claim. i have the carpet man coming at 5am, yep, 5am to suck the water out of the carpet and decide wether it can be saved .... (am hoping not). My phone line is gone, (am blogging from my neighbours place) telstra is coming tomorrow, the electical appliance testing guy is coming on tuesday, the builder coming for an inspection on tuesday too. shit.
the bonus is, we are all safe. and that is a huge bonus.
and i have angelic neighbours. god love them. we are all camped there for the night. (there were 10 in the bed and the little one said......)
hope everyone else is ok
luv me

I AM HERE
slackarse blogger am i
it has been three days since i last blogged.... how many hail the goddessess should i do for that 'chelle??
it has been a pretty shitty weekend. overall, i have been hauled through the coals and back again a few times.
i want to know who thought i would be strong enough to deal with my life. i am fading fast somedays.
have had an endless stream of visitors today, FINALLY they have all departed for their respective homes. burnout beckons.
I am desperately awaiting tomorrow morning so i can find out what 'chelle is going to do to me - she has been quite aggro lately - sorry 'chelle, if i am down, i find i just cannot blog, i look, i just cannot write. Am ok now - deep and thoughtful, but ok.
I missed the Year and a Day evening tonight due to drop ins that ended up staying. (i hate drop ins, but what can you do?... sorry but piss off, i want to go out).
cant wait for art tomorrow (you cant scare me 'chellle). It is the high point of my week.
speaking of my week, hubby is home this week (joy) to finish replacing the ceiling and decorating our 'triangle room'. This is the second last room we have to do in this house (its only been four years, you cant rush these things). This room is essentially the kids room, with the playstation, telly, futon and games cupboard in it. we are yet to argue over colours for this room, i am sure this heated argument will happen within the next 24 - 48 hours or so. cant wait for this... not.
action man is feral due to medication he is taking for his asthma and sinus infection.
freak of nature is feral due to her 'rich task' that she has had for 6 weeks and not looked at, which is due in two and a half weeks. has decided that she wont do it and 'fail year 7'. typical drama queen.
eldest is just 14 going on 15. speaks for itself eh.
i crave harmony.
i crave love.
i crave peace.
will see some of you at arty farty tomorrow.
going to read my book (Archangel by Sharon Shinn - highly recommended) before retiring.
love to you
