Monday...

9 more sleeps til the boy goes back to school.... 10 more for the girls, for some unknown reason, the high school staff seem to think they need an extra day off. Oh well, I can still count them on my hands.

still drinking dusty shakes for breakfast and most lunches. am feeling more energetic and hopeful for the future. sick to death of being a fat chick and love the latest fashions that just dont look the same if you are not thin..... i have time....

kira cleaned her room last night, it has been an ongoing battle with her. I actually forgot what colour her carpet was! Here is how i did it, her birthday is coming up in March and I told her that I was going to clean her rooom for her..... she looked smug til i told her that i would be charging her $15 per hour and that total fee would come off the total of her birthday money.... hee hee, within a couple of hours i could hear her cleaning up.... VICTORY IS MINE!!!!! its probably poor form to gloat, but hey, whatever works.

its amazing how low a person will stoop when driven.... now just to get her to keep it that way. I am a very bad housekeeper and let things build up on me too, so i am not a good example for her...

having said that, i might go now and clean up my own room, joy, fun, yay. Not.

enjoy your day
xoxo

Money can be a very good tool at times...I have a friend of Alek's staying over for four nights.
She is from Melbourne. The girls seem to be having fun - picked her up from Sydney today.

Well-done, BecomingThin Woman!

Good luck with the "keeping it that way" bit. ;0)

Ha! I'm with you on being tired of being a fat chick. It's so easy to get that way and so hard to change back.

Can I be BecomingThin Woman, too? Even if I did miss the gym yesterday because of a lack of car keys?

And very smart handling of the cleaning room issue. I definitely made note of that since my son has just now become aware of money and it's many uses!

HA, HA, I love your style, your way of getting her room cleaned is better than my way, (even though it always worked). The very first time I argued with my daughter to clean her room I gave up, and cleaned it myself, the trick was that I put everything that was out of place into a big otto garbage bag, and hid it. She was horrified, I told her that I threw it out, and now Im happy because her room is clean and she doesn't own anything to mess it up with, after a couple of weeks, I gave her the garbage bag and told her to put everything that she wants to keep where it belongs and if she can't find a home for it I will really put it in the bin. After that, for the rest of her life if I asked her to clean her room and she argued, I said, don't worry then sweetie, I'll do it,and she'd storm off to her room with the shits and clean it. HA HA
