I ♥ Faces Fix it Friday

Fix it Friday again !!

I love this challenge, and this was one that just fell together quite easily. I squared this gorgeous photo of the lovely 'southern belle'. I also found that it just lent itself to sepia tonings by itself, I actually sepia toned a hue saturation layer and then set it to soft light to bring back a hint of colour. I also added an overlay that i picked up off the course i did with Jessica Sprague.

I hope you like my 'fix'.

Here is the original

and here is my take on it

Head over to I ♥ Faces and check out all of the other incredible entries... :)

Nice, I like the square crop.

I think the color processing on this one definitely fits the time period. That border is really cool too. I have an action that does a border like that, but I always forget I have it. :)

Hi Jen! Thanks for visiting Flip'n Crazy :)

To answer your question about my burned edges... it is so simple, no laughing. ;)

I do 98% of my editing with CS4, BUT I still really LOVE some of the one click quick options on Picnik. To get the edges go under "create" and then "effects". Once in effects click on "vignette". Bring the vignette size down to 35% and the strength up to 65%. Hit apply. Then click on the "frames". Once in frames click on the one that says "border". Bring the inner thickness to "0" (this will do away with the inner frame). Leave the outer thickness color black and bring it down to a setting of "5". Click apply. There you have it! Super easy and FREE! :)
